Administrative Support

Karen has been with Skills Society for over 35 years and has worked in the sector throughout her entire career. Karen spent her first years working on the front lines supporting families and people with disabilities and has spent the last 25+ years stewarding Human Resources at Skills, retiring from her role as Director of Human Resources in 2024. She has watched the organization grow into one of the larger Disability Services Organizations in Edmonton.

Karen brings deep knowledge of HR Management to her role and always strives to lead with kindness, fairness, and her passionate support of our important works that helps people with developmental disabilities to lead good lives in community. 

Trustworthy and welcoming, Karen is often the connector of people at Skills. She is a holder of many stories and much historical knowledge about Skills Society .
