I work at the University of Alberta where I help design processes, services, and technology to support our diverse staff and student population. I am a mom to two active little boys and as a family we enjoy skiing, cycling, and camping. If I get a spare moment alone, you might find me knitting, reading, or practicing the ukulele.

I was first introduced to the Skills Society during my Master of Arts degree at the University of Alberta. I was so drawn to the work that Skills does to challenge social perception of disability that I focused my thesis on Project Citizenship, an innovative digital storytelling project sharing the unique gifts and talents of people with disabilities with the public and in their own words. From there I was recruited to the Skills board and I couldn't be prouder to be part of such a dedicated and passionate team. Over the years I have witnessed Skills weather incredible storms with unwavering grace and in the face of adversity go beyond providing basic services by cultivating opportunities, choices and a sense of belonging for the people they support. Skills' dedication to challenge the status quo is a continual source of inspiration for me and as a board member, I am passionate about doing my part to support their incredible efforts.
